I just sent you a copy of the song. Lean on me.
I have some one to lean on. His name is Jesus. Believe me, when I have to deal with mean people, and it starts to stress me out, He gives me the ability to simply relax and forget about it.
I understand that there are some folks who really, truly believe I am a mean person, simply because I may disagree with some of their opinions. I guess they have to realize that everyone is not going to agree on everything in this world, and that everyone is different. It tells us in the Bible that Jesus loved all his children, and we are his children. So, to the people who think I am mean, I am really sorry you feel that way, because I am not. I am a very caring, sensitive person, and will help out others when ever I can. Some day, maybe God will lay it on their heart to allow people to live their own lives, and not judge unfairly. I used to be that way, but with Jesus to lean on....no more....He is my Rock!
Lean on me is a very good song, as is On the Solid Rock, or even Child of a King.
That's a good comment I try music to relax me also and that help's this is why I did this post
A group I used to listen to when I was in the Navy off the coast of Nam, was the Moody Blues...Nights of White Satin was a very relaxing song.
yep but white satin? the others OK.
actually, I never listened to the words...it was the music that was soothing....
Bryan...I just looked up the lyrics of the song itself, and I don't really see anything wrong with them. Maybe you were thinking Satin was being said Satan. Here are the lyrics....
Nights in white satin, never reaching the end,
Letters I've written, never meaning to send.
Beauty I'd always missed with these eyes before.
Just what the truth is, I can't say anymore.
'Cos I love you, yes I love you, oh how I love you.
Gazing at people, some hand in hand,
Just what I'm going through they can't understand.
Some try to tell me, thoughts they cannot defend,
Just what you want to be, you will be in the end.
And I love you, yes I love you,
Oh how I love you, oh how I love you.
Nights in white satin, never reaching the end,
Letters I've written, never meaning to send.
Beauty I've always missed, with these eyes before.
Just what the truth is, I can't say anymore.
'Cos I love you, yes I love you,
Oh how I love you, oh how I love you.
'Cos I love you, yes I love you,
Oh how I love you, oh how I love you.
Breath deep
The gathering gloom
Watch lights fade
From every room
Bedsitter people
Look back and lament
Another day's useless
Energy spent
Impassioned lovers
Wrestle as one
Lonely man cries for love
And has none
New mother picks up
And suckles her son
Senior citizens
Wish they were young
Cold hearted orb
That rules the night
Removes the colours
From our sight
Red is gray and
Yellow white
But we decide
Which is right
And Which is an Illusion
